Giedrius – A Musical Knight from the Olden Times A long time ago, when elves still lived in the forests and the sounds of lutes echoed in the halls of castles, there lived in the world an extraordinary musical traveler named Giedrius. Coming from a family of artists and gifted from an early age with the hand of an artist and the heart of a musician, he studied art at the Kaunas Art Guild, but his calling – melody – echoed from an even deeper past.
Already in his childhood, while still a young son of the family, he secretly borrowed his brother’s magical string instrument, and later acquired his own – which has never slipped out of his hands since. In his adolescence, he studied to play in the royal brass brotherhood and learned to blow the majestic trumpet, following in the footsteps of his father – the great soundsmith. He has played in various princely halls, city squares and even the queen's palace - the echoes of this musical legend still float among the old pilgrim songs. His first service was with honorable craftsmen - masters of musical instruments, and his musical journeys began with comrades from the yard - in the groups "Over Drive", "Linfeng", "Xess" and "S.B.S.", where his true musical sword was born.
This knight is active and impatient. If an idea knocks on his heart, he immediately turns it into reality - like the time when, without weapons (instruments) and armor (costumes), the brotherhood he led decided to play at the Old Crafts Festival held at the Trakai Island Castle. And now - thanks to his determination, wisdom and leadership - the performance took place, and the songs did not remain unheard. Giedrius is not only a musician. He knows a hundred crafts, like a true Renaissance man: he knows how to solder the souls of magical instruments, repair a broken lute neck, build a garden shed, bake potato pancakes. And when he is not engaged in knightly campaigns with the Jordan Music Brotherhood, he teaches the younger generation the magic of music at the Kaunas Mikalojus Petrauskas School of Arts, where he passes on the secrets of string and digital spells. However, even with so many duties, this knight never forgets his brotherhood - the group "Hansanova". Here he not only leads, teaches and argues if someone forgets a line of a song or is late for a battle (concert), but also experiments with ancient melodies. Recently, he has been playing the Labanoras bagpipe more and more often - a Lithuanian relative of the bagpipe, the sounds of which sound as if from the whisper of ancient forests. His home is home to a small but magical studio – the place where the album “Tavernos kronika” was born and where legends are still being created. Such is our noble leader – calm, wise, stubborn as an earth sign, and leading us through the whirlwinds of time – from the Middle Ages to the present day.enų.
